Prime Minister Prachanda faces challenges again on cabinet expansion in Nepal

Kathmandu, Mar 21, (Fast Mail News):-- Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has accelerated the process of cabinet expansion as soon as he received the vote of confidence from the Parliament on Monday. For this, he has discussed with his party CPN (MC) and the constituents of the ruling coalition. Due to the increase in the constituents of the coalition, challenges have once again started appearing in front of Prime Minister Prachanda regarding the expansion of the cabinet.

Actually, the ministries are less and the aspirants are more, so Prachanda is finding it difficult to coordinate with everyone. There is also a possibility of a rift in the coalition due to the distribution of ministries. Right now Prime Minister Prachanda is handling 16 ministries alone. Now the ministry is to be expanded with the bifurcation and cabinet reshuffle.

Prachanda himself has said that he will take everyone along. However, it is not easy. Nepali Congress has claimed 8 ministries including Home, Finance and External Affairs. The Maoist party led by Prime Minister Prachanda is preparing to take over at least five ministries. Rashtriya Swatantra Party led by Ravi Lamichhane claimed 4 ministries and Janata Samajwadi Party led by Upendra Yadav and CPN (US) party led by Madhav Kumar Nepal claimed 2 ministries each.

Janmat Party led by CK Raut, Citizen Immunity led by Resham Chaudhary, Democratic Samajwadi Party led by Mahant Thakur, Aam Janta Party led by Prabhu Shah have also claimed 1 ministry each.
