Angul police detain two suspects in Jaganath temple theft case
Police has rounded up several suspects and detained two of them for interrogation. But so far police couldn’t crack the case.
Angul town police IIC, Dhiresh Das said the case is so far undetected though police has launched massive investigations into the case. He expressed the hope to solve the case very soon by arresting the culprits. As the CCTV in Jaganath temple were out of order culprits couldn’t be identified, he said adding that for this there is difficulty in advancing on case detection. The IIC said that the miscreants have taken away around 15 to 20 thousand cash by breaking the hoondi.
The theft in jaganth temple has stirred local population who blamed the police for the laxity.
Angul SP Rahul Jain and other senior district police officials rushed to the spot. Scientific teams and police dogs were pressed into the service.
