Angul police nab three drug peddlers in town

 ANGUL:Acting on a tip-off,Angul town police has raided a hide-out drug peddlers in the heart of the town and arrested three criminals in this connections.Police also seized around 5.6gram of brown sugar and a ready cash of 2.17lakhs from them.

This raid occurred last evening by a team of police offciers.The arrested are Chaturi Naiak,52,M.Hasim,40 and Santosh Das,45.

 

 All the accused belong to Angul district.

According to town IIC,Dhiresh Dash,police got an information that brown sugar transactions are being carried out at a hide-out near town high school.A police team raided the hide-out surprisingly and nabbed three accused.Besides brown sugar lakhs of ready cash were also seized from the accused.He said as per the investigations,the contraband was transported from jaleswar area and was meant  to be sold in Angul town.

He said police have information such transactions are taking place in the town by the culprits.adding police keep a close watch on the drug peddling in Angul.Dash also said the arrested persons have been forwarded to court today today.
