He also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not taking action against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders who made objectionable statements against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha.
"BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders, including MLAs and MPs, talk of cutting the tongues of our leaders. Rahul Gandhi is attacked for speaking the truth and an atmosphere of hatred is created against him, as was done against his grandmother Indira Gandhi," Kharge said at a press conference in Jammu.
Kharge, who is in Jammu to campaign for Congress candidates in the assembly elections, said Rahul Gandhi is being branded a 'terrorist' and 'anti-national'.
