Congress to Work in the State with Determination, Dedication, and Goodwill: Bhakta Charan Das,Odisha PCC President
BHUBANESWAR: After attending the AICC session held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and the Nyaypath program at Sabarmati Ashram, PCC President Bhakta Charan Das returned today.
Speaking to journalists at Bhubaneswar Airport, Das responded to various questions, stating that AICC members from different states across India participated in the AICC session.
“Everyone returned with enthusiasm. Discussions focused on striving with determination, dedication, and goodwill”,the Odisha PCC President said.
A decision was made to launch a widespread movement for social justice”,he said adding,in Odisha, to ensure the safety of oppressed women, the Congress will organize torchlight processions in all blocks on the 15th and at the district level on the 21st.
Commenting on the Ayushman Yojana, he said it is merely a publicity stunt by the BJP. Many schemes are announced, but they hold no value. Ayushman is one such scheme,Das said.
He alleged that BJP makes big claims about investments of 10,000 crores or 20,000 crores, but these have no real impact. Ayushman is no different.
He questioned whether the police are mere tools of the ruling party! Unfortunately, two or three of our youths have been arrested without reason, despite having no role in the incidents.
“ There might be pressure on the police from the ruling party, but the police should not act this way. Let the police come and arrest us if needed. Our youths were arrested based on claims by ABVP members, even though they had no involvement that day”,he said.
Over 10 of our workers were also injured. We could file cases too, but we haven’t, as it would demoralize the police,he stated.
He alleged that after the last election, many schemes were announced to provide jobs to unemployed youth, but nothing has materialized.
Similarly, regarding Naveen Babu’s acknowledgment that Pandian has greatly helped the party, Das questioned how a bureaucrat could do so much while in government service.
