Dhenkanal: Four held on the charge of gang rape to a mentally retarded woman

 DHENKANAL:Dhenkanal Sadar police on Sunday have arrested four youths on the charge of gang rape to a 22-year-old woman of Bhapur area.The arrested are Babuli Naik,27,Biranchi Moharana ,25,Abinash Parida 25 and Jiban Parida, 30 of village Mahula Panji under Sadar police station.Police is on look out to nab some other accused who are absconded in this case.

The victim is a partially mental retarded woman. She was living with her father in her village.His father also a mentally retarded .Taking advantage of the situation these gang of culprits had an eye upon her.For last eight to ten months they went into the home of the victim and  had been raping her one by one.Almost every night this despicable act   was going on by this bunch of criminals with the woman.They listened nothing and had no mercy upon the woman who was bleeding to spare her.Police said,as the result of gang rape the woman become pregnant and she is six months of pregnant. 

The matter came to light when somebody from the village witnessing the bad health of the woman informed the sadar police.Sadar police IIC Deepak Lenka today rushed to the village and met the victim. After a prolong inquiry the police came to know about the identity of the culprits. Police picked up four of them on the charge of gang rape and are on look out to nab the remaining absconders.” As soon as I got the information I rushed to the village and I found the victim I  pitiable condition. The culprits were taking the woman into an abandoned house early in the night and were raping her one by one mercilessly. We could identify the culprit and arrested four of them.We suspect more people are involved in this crime.We will catch them very soon”,said IIC.

He said the woman was immediately referred to Dhenkanal district medical where she underwent for medical check-up. She is at a short stay home. Meanwhile,these four criminals have been arrested and will be forwarded to court on the charge of gang rape.
