Dhenkanal: Vigilance raid on Kamakhyanagar sub-collector on DA cases
DHENKANAL: Today on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets to his known source of income by Kamakhyanagar sub-collector Narayan Chandra nayak,Odisha vigilance has conducted simultaneous house searches of him at several occasions.The searches were going on on the orders of vigilance special judge Bhubaneswar.A team of vigilance officials consisting 7 DSPs ,3 Inspectors,8 ASIs and other supporting staff.The vigilance officials reportedly conducted searches at Kamakhyanagar office,residence and other locations at Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak.
On searches it was found three multi-storey buildings including one triple-storied building at Bhubaneswar,13 high value plots at Bhubaneswar,Cuttack and Bhadrak..
The officials also found ready cash of 1.48lakhs,gold 250gm and others.The officials also detected triple-storied building at Jarapada Bhubaneswar,two double-storied building at Bhadrak.Other deposits and investments of Nayak are being ascertained,officials said.
Vigilance sources also said that the sub collector will likely to be arrested tomorrow after the searches are completed.The sources also said Nayak got government services as assistant settlement officer in 1997..Then after he was qualified for odisha Administrative Service and served at many places as Tahsildar,BDO and other capacities.Nayak was posted as sub collector at kamakhyanagar in 2023.
