The actor is quite excited about his historical role in his first Hindi feature film. Director Aditya Om, who is also a well-known actor in South films, says making a film on Saint Tukaram in modern times has been a big challenge. He is also sad that Hindi cinema has not made any remarkable film on such a great saint till date.
The shooting of this film has been completed and it is in the post production stage. The film stars Sheena Chauhan as the lead actress, Shishir Sharma, 'Massaab' fame Shiva Suryavanshi, Gauri Shankar Singh, Rupali Jadhav, Hemal Dharia, Rahul Singh, Yogesh Pandit, Manveer Chowdhary, Kiran Patil in pivotal roles while Sanjay Mishra , Arun Govil, Lalit Tiwari, DJ Akbar Sami, Hemant Pandey, Ganesh Yadav and others will be seen in special appearances.
Produced by P Gautam, the film is made under the banner of Curzon Films and Purushottam Studios. The music composers of the film are Ravi Tripathi, Viral-Lavan, Nikhil Kamath.
It is noteworthy that the film 'Sant Tukaram' is inspired by similar true incidents of how an ordinary person became a saint while fulfilling the responsibilities of worldly life. Tukaram always inspired the common people to lead a better life by his thoughts, his behavior and the humble manner of his conversation. His ideals, his principles and his teachings will always guide humans and filmmaker Aditya Om has done a great job of bringing the biography of the great saint to the big screen. Everyone will be waiting for such inspirational cinema, which will leave its impact on the society and the general public.
