Former IAS officer VK Pandian formally joins BJD
BHUBANESHWAR: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik’s trusted aide V K Pandian has today joined in j BJD,proving speculations being rife that he might eventually succeed Naveen.
After his joing in the party it is apparent now that he will play a key role in the party’s strategies for 2024 elections.As Naveen will seek votes for a sixth term in office next year, the CM’s former secretary would be his key poll planner now.
It is lkearnt that earlier,Pandian had taken VRS from his service on October 23.
He was made the Chairman of 5T (Transformational Initiatives) and ‘Nabin Odisha’ in the rank of Cabinet Minister a day after his voluntary resignation from the Indian civil services.
VK Pandian is a 2000 batch IAS officer.He had started his career as Dharmagarh sub-collector and later served as Collector of different districts.
He joined the CMO in 2011 and remained there for the last 12 years. He was the private secretary to the Chief Minister of Odisha. He was made the 5T secretary in 2019.
