Government's equal emphasis on education and skills in the new education policy: Prime Minister
New Delhi, Feb 25, (Fast Mail News):-- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that by taking future-oriented decisions, the government is providing skills to the youth of the country according to the needs of the industries. He said that equal emphasis is being laid on both education and skills in the new education policy.
Prime Minister Modi was addressing the post-budget webinar on Saturday on the topic 'Utilizing Youth Power: Skilling and Education'. The Prime Minister said that the current budget has worked to strengthen the foundation of the education sector. Now it is being made more practical and in line with industries. In the new education policy, equal emphasis is being laid on both education and skills. Future-oriented decisions like Virtual Lap and National Digital Library will bring about a massive change in the entire education sector. The Central Government is trying to provide internships and training to the students to get experience outside the classroom. There is a provision of stipend to 50 lakh youth under the National Training Programme.
