Hathras stampede: SIT gives clean chit to 'Bhole Baba' !

 LUCKNOW:SIT of ADG Zone Agra and Divisional Commissioner Aligarh,which had  formed immediately after the Hathras stampede in which 116 people,mostly women had died on July 2 in Sikandrarao, Hathras, Uttar Pradesh., has submitted its report.

According to reports, six officers including SDM, CO and Tehsildar have been suspended. The surprising thing is that the SIT formed on the Hathras stampede has not even mentioned Narayan Sakar Hari anywhere in its entire report.

The SIT has also found the programme organizer and tehsil level police and administration  officials guilty in its report. The local SDM, Tehsildar, Inspector, Chowki Incharge are responsible for negligence in discharging their responsibilities. It has been told in the report that the Sub-District Magistrate Sikandrarao granted permission for the event without inspecting the venue and senior officials were not even informed.

 

 

 According to sources, the programme was not taken seriously by the officials and senior officials were not even informed. The SIT had recommended action against the concerned officials. The government has suspended the Deputy District Magistrate Sikandrarao, Police Circle Officer Sikandrarao, Police Station Head Sikandrarao, Tehsildar Sikandrarao, Outpost Incharge Kachora and Outpost Incharge Pora.

In fact,the organisers took permission to organize the program by hiding the facts. It is alleged that the  conditions applicable for permission were not complied with.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has submitted the investigation report on Hathras stampede that on July 2, 121 people died after a stampede at the satsang of Sakar Vishwa Hari alias Bhole Baba.

The SIT has written in its report that the incident site was inspected on July 2, 3 and 5. During the investigation, statements of a total of 125 people were taken, which includes statements of administrative and police officials as well as the general public and eyewitnesses. Apart from this, copies of news published regarding the incident, videography, photographs, video clippings were taken into cognizance.
