In Jharkhand opposition parties are spreading poison in the name of religion and sect : Hemant Soren

RANCHI: Addressing the 46th foundation day celebration of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) in Hazaribagh on Friday, Soren urged the people of the state to remain vigilant against divisive forces and respond to them unitedly with full force.

He said that the unity of Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, tribals, Dalits, and people from all sections has been the strength of Jharkhand and the country."We must resolve that we will not allow the designs of those who spread mischief during festivals to succeed under any circumstances."

Soren remarked that when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had a double-engine government in the state, they had fuelled communal frenzy to such an extent that it became difficult for people to step out of their homes. "It was Jharkhand's misfortune that the parties which opposed the formation of a separate state ended up holding power for the longest time after its creation. Ultimately, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha fought with full strength and big resolutions, and in 2019, we uprooted them from power."

The Chief Minister alleged that after coming to power in 2019, he was continuously harassed for five years at the behest of the central government and was sent to jail on false charges.

He claimed that if he had been out of jail during the Lok Sabha elections, not a single seat in the state would have gone to the BJP.

He further stated that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is a party nurtured by the blood and sweat of agitators."Our resolve is to bring a smile of prosperity to every person’s face in the state. Our government has started sending money directly to women’s bank accounts to empower them. Today, there is not a single elderly person in the state deprived of a pension. We will fulfill every promise made to the people, one by one, on the ground."

The public meeting was also addressed by several leaders, including Minister Yogendra Prasad and Sudivya Kumar. During the event, several leaders and workers from other parties joined the JMM.
