J&K: Terrorists attack army camp in Rajouri, soldier injured

 JAAMU:A soldier suffered injuries when terrorists attacked an army picket on Monday in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. 

Official sources said that the terrorists attacked the picket early this morning in the remote Gundha village of Rajouri.

"The Army troops effectively retaliated to the firing and thwarted a major terror attack," they said, adding that in exchange for the firing, one soldier suffered injuries.

 

 

  "The security forces have cordoned the area while intermittent firing is in progress," they said, adding that more details were awaited.

 Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Army Chief Gen. Upendra Dwivedi chaired the meetings in Jammu on Saturday to review the security situation in view of the surge in terror attacks in the region.

 The Army is launching "Operation All Out" with the additional deployment of 3000 troops and 500 paracommandos to flush out foreign terrorists active in the hilly district of Jammu region.
