Kharge says,INDIA Alliance will not allow 'bulldozer justice' to run on parliamentary system
NEW DELHI: Referring to the implementation of three new criminal laws, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Monday that these three laws were passed after suspending 146 opposition MPs, but now the 'INDIA Alliance will not allow such "bulldozer justice" to run on parliamentary system.
The Indian Code of Justice 2023, the Indian Civil Protection Code 2023 and the Indian Evidence Act (BSA) 2023 have come into effect across the country from today. These three laws have replaced the British era laws, the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and the Indian Evidence Act respectively.
Kharge posted on 'X', "After the political and moral setback in the elections, Modi ji and BJP leaders are pretending to respect the Constitution, but the truth is that the three laws of the criminal justice system that are being implemented from today were forcibly passed by suspending 146 MPs.''
He said that the 'INDIA' alliance will no longer allow this "bulldozer justice" to run on the parliamentary system. Congress MP Manish Tiwari has given a notice of adjournment in the Lok Sabha demanding a discussion in the context of criminal laws.
