Minister Calls to build students properly for nation building

ANGUL:The higher education minister Suryabansi Suraj has called upon teachers to build properly those who will build the nation. He said teachers should not teach the students for examinations and jobs. On the other hand, teachers should teach students for study itself by which job will run after the student.

Suraj was addressing teachers at the platinum jubilee celebrations as chief guest of Naba Krushna Choudhury College of teachers education today at Angul. Recalling the state’s first chief minister Naba Krushna Chouhury,he said the nation remembers him for dedication, simplicity and dedication in helping the helpless and under-privileged. He said that BED College was established first after independence when the state had only one BED College called Radhanath Training College at Cuttack.

The minister said, the college is having a bright future as it has signed an MOU with Angul autonomous college for integrated BED.He also called upon teachers to take the responsibility for the students who should develop knowledge-based economy.

He said time has come for the students to develop vision and ideas like the countries Japan,Singapore and Israel. The minister said there are some persons who have not entered into colleges but are called to the universities as visiting professors. He praised union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan for giving his attention to develop the institute at national level.

Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pany while addressing the occasion recalled the contribution of Naba Krushna Choudhury in fostering education not only in Angul but also in the state. Others who spoke are Pratap Pradhan,MLA,Angul,Ashok Mohanty,MLA Pallhara and Agasti Behera,MLA Chhendipada.
