MP: Four youths who came to bathe in Narmada river drowned, one dead body found
According to the Anjad police station, 11 people from Tokriyan village of Gujarat and Mirzapur village of Dhar district came to Lohara Ghat in a boat from Malanpur on Wednesday morning to bathe in the Narmada river. Here a young man was drowning while taking a bath. To save him, three of his friends also went into the river, who drowned after going into deep water. The incident is being told at 10 am. On the information of the people present on the spot, the police and SDARF team reached the spot and started searching for the drowned youths in Narmada. Meanwhile, the relief and rescue team has recovered the body of a youth, who has been identified as Mohammad Kifatulla, a resident of Gujarat. DSP Kundan Singh Mandloi has also reached the spot.
DSP Kundan Mandloi told that as soon as the information about the incident came, the SDRF team started rescue work on the spot. There is information about the drowning of four people, out of which the body of one has been recovered. The search for the other youths is on. The body has been taken to Anjad Government Hospital for examination. Further action is being taken.
