MUJ’s Media School Received NMC Award of Excellence as Best Media Institute in Research & Publication
The School of Media and Communications, Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) is awarded with the 7th National Media Conclave Award-2023 at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The Media school is conferred with the “Award of Excellence” in the category of “Best Media Institute for Excellence in Research and Publications”. Prof. (Dr.) Fakira Mohan Nahak, HoD, School of Media and Communication, Faculty of Arts, received this award from the Chief Guest Mr. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, the Higher Education Minister of Odisha and Guest of Eminence Mr. Pradeep Kumar Amat, the Minister of Information and Public Relations, Government of Odisha. This national level award has been given to different media schools, corporate houses and media practitioners for the last seven years. Prof. (Dr.) B. K. Ravi, Vice Chancellor, Koppal University, Karnataka, Dr. Pradeep Mallik, Professor, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar, and President of Press Club of Kolkata Mr. Snehasis Sur graced the occasion during the award ceremony. The conclave chairperson Prof. Upendra Padhi appreciated the participants and awardees.
Students and teachers at School of Media and Communications, MUJ expressed their happiness after receiving the award. They said, it will encourage all to pursue media and communication research with greater zeal and more focus. The President of MUJ, Prof. G.K. Prabhu, Pro-President, Prof. Cmdr. Jawahar M. Jangir, Registrar, Prof. Nitu Bhatnagar and Dean, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Komal Audichya congratulated and appreciated the faculty members and research scholars of the School of Media and Communications.
The annual three-day National Media Conclave (NMC) is organized every year on 21-23 November at Bhubaneswar by Institute of Media Studies, Utkal University and KIIT University. The NMC awards are conferred to different stake holders on the last day of the conclave. Every year hundreds of media and communication scholars, veterans, researchers and media thinkers do take part in this conclave, from across the country and few parts of the south-east Asian countries.
