Odisha Masters 2024: Manav Choudhary defeats Mohammed Munawar in Men’s Singles Qualification Round
In the Odisha Masters 2024 Badminton, Indian shuttler Manav Choudhary defeated Mohammed Munawar of United Arab Emirates in a one-sided encounter by 21-16, 21-12, in the opening match of the Men’s Singles Qualification Round this morning.
In another match of Men’s Singles, India’s Rajesh Srikar faced a major defeat by China’s Liu Yu Xuan 11-21, 21-23, while another Indian shuttler Gagan Balyan lost to Wang Zi Jun of China 12-21, 11-21. In other matches of Men’s Singles where Indian shuttlers were up against each other, Abhinav Thakur defeated Kavin Thangam Kavin, Pranay Shettigar beat Naren Shankar Iyer and Govind Krishna beat Nicholas Raj.
In Mixed Doubles category, Indian pair of Amaan Mohammad and Simran Singhi outclassed another Indian pair of Hari Bharathi Baskaran.P and Nardhana Ravishankar at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha.
