Polish sprinter Malgorzata Holub-Kowalik pregnant, away from track

Warsaw, Apr 7, (Fast Mail News):-- Two-time Olympic medalist Polish sprinter Ma?gorzata Holub-Kowlick announced she is pregnant and will take some time off. At the same time, she also revealed that she does not know whether she will be back on the track or not.

 

The 30-year-old earned two medals for Poland during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. She stood on the top podium in the women's 4x400 m relay and won a bronze medal in the mixed relay.

 

 

 

"I am really happy. I am preparing for the most important moment in my life. I have been dreaming about becoming a mother. I always reiterated that family is the highest priority for me," she said in an interview with Polish media. I know my body very well so I thought something was bound to happen. I went to the doctor who confirmed I was pregnant. So I had to suspend my career."

 

"I will try to get back into sports. I don't know if I will succeed, but I promise I will try. If I don't, my world won't end," said the athlete.
