Priyanka Gandhi: How long will you keep taking 'Nehru's' name, count your deeds'?

NEW DELHI: Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi fiercely attacked the BJP and the Modi government during the discussion on the constitution in the Lok Sabha today. Responding to Rajnath Singh's allegations, Priyanka Gandhi said, "All the responsibility is put on Jawaharlal Nehru, why don't you talk about the present."

Priyanka Gandhi further said, "Agrarian laws are made for powerful people. All airport, road, railway works are being given to one person. The government is favouring Adani. People believed that the constitution would protect them, But now their confidence is gone."

She further said that the people of the ruling party sitting in the parliament today talk about the past, let's talk about the present. “Tell the country what is your responsibility, what are you doing. The farmer of the country is troubled today. Small farmers are crying because everything is being changed for one person. All the cold storage to Adani was given to this government. The country is seeing that 142 crore people are being denied to save one person”,she said.

She further said that all the business, all the resources and all the opportunities are being handed over to one person. All ports, mines, airports are being given to one person. There was a belief in the minds of the people that if nothing else the constitution would protect them, but today inequality is increasing in the country. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.
