Rahul Gandhi urges Speaker Om Birla to allow voice of people in the House
He further said that the government has political power but the opposition also represents the voice of the people of India and this time the opposition has represented the voice of the Indian people much more than last time. “The opposition would like to assist you in your work. We want the House to work often and well. It is very important that cooperation is based on trust. It is very important that the voice of the opposition is allowed to be represented in this House”,Gandhi said.

He said the question is not how successfully the House runs, but the question is how many voices of India will be heard here. If you run the House by silencing the voice of the opposition, it will be undemocratic,he said,adding the people of the country expect the opposition to protect the Constitution.
“We trust that you will fulfill your duty of protecting the Constitution by allowing the opposition to raise the voice of the people”,Rahul concluded his speech.
