Rising crime thefts worries Talcher residents

 ANGUL:The rising incidents of snatching and theft in Talcher industrial belt in recent times has worried local residents who demand comprehensive police action to curb the crimes.

In past one week,there were two snatching incidents occurred in both Talcher and colliery police station area. According to report,one Elina Nanda of Surya Vihar was robbed of golden chain by two bike-borne snatchers in the morning time. The incident occurred while she went out her home to dump garbage.The matter was reported to Talcher Police.

In another incident of snatching one house wife was robbed by miscreants in the evening time on Wednesday at Lingaraj township while she had gone for an evening walk.The miscreants snatched one golden chain, it is reported.

 

Similarly there is a spurt in house burglary cases .In Baghuabol yesterday, the house of one Iswar Mohapatra was robbed of golden ornaments and ready cash by miscreants at day time. Iswar and his family went to market while their houses were burgled. After the report about 80 gram of gold and other valuables were looted.

Similarly,the house of Debashis Swain of Balhar chhak were looted in which golden ornaments and cash were taken away.In another incident in Madhav Vihar,the house of one Saraswati Sahoo was looted by thieves in night time.

When such incidents of crime rises, police are yet to nab and the culprit in both theft and snatching cases.

Talcher SDPO Manas Ranjan Barik said,efforts are on to nab the culprits involved in these crimes.
