Three historic resolutions to strengthen social justice by Congress, says Rahul Gandhi

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday, referring to the resolutions passed at the Congress's Ahmedabad session, said that it carries a clear message for the Bahujans to support the party on issues related to their future and strengthen it.

The Congress held a one-day session on Wednesday in Ahmedabad on the banks of the Sabarmati River, where the party passed resolutions on several issues, including social justice.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on the social media platform 'X', "Yesterday, at the AICC Ahmedabad session 'Nyaypath', Congress took three historic resolutions to strengthen social justice by ensuring participation for the Bahujans of the country."

He said, "We will bring a national law to abolish the 50 percent cap on reservations, enact a central law to give legal shape to the 'SC-ST Sub-Plan', and ensure budgetary allocation based on the population of these communities."

The former Congress president added, "We will enforce the right to reservation for SC, ST, and OBC in private educational institutions as stipulated under Article 15(5) of the Constitution."

He further stated, "Our message to the Bahujans of the country is clear - stand with us on these issues related to your future, strengthen the hand... because the hand will change the circumstances."
