Turkey drops bombs on dam in Syria

 DAMASCUS: Despite the rebels' conquest of Syria, the situation has not improved. Now the country is forced to face the invasion of Israel and Turkey. Deposed President Bashar al-Assad and his family have fled to Russia. Russia has given them asylum on humanitarian grounds.Meanwhile, Turkey has created a new crisis after it bombed a dam. The United Nations is concerned about Israel's attacks. The United Nations has called for Israel to withdraw. But it has denied it.

According to The Times of Israel, the UN chief has called on Israel to stop its attacks in Syria and withdraw its forces fromfrom the buffer zone. After Israeli security forces destroyed most of the military assets of the ousted Assad regime, Guterres' spokesman stressed the "urgent need to minimise violence on all fronts across the country".

United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters on Thursday that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is concerned about Israeli airstrikes in several areas of Syria. He stressed the urgent need to reduce violence on all fronts across Syria.

Earlier, the Israeli military said it had carried out more than 350 strikes in Syria. The military reportedly destroyed most of the stockpiles of strategic weapons belonging to the deposed Syrian regime. Israel admitted to entering a buffer zone inside Syria after ousting President Assad last week.

 

 According to The New York Times, Israel said its forces would remain in Syrian territory until "a new army" is established that meets its security demands. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli troops would remain "temporarily" deployed. The Israeli army has deployed soldiers in an area of ??155 square miles. According to Israeli officials, its troops have also established strong positions inside Syrian territory.

According to the Arabic news website "963+", uncertainty prevails in the country after the collapse of the former Syrian regime. A video clip has gone viral on social media sites. It shows a member of the armed group chanting ISIS slogans as they celebrate the fall of the former Syrian regime in the Syrian coastal city of Latakia. According to the Turkish news channel "Khabar", the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army has taken control of a checkpoint in the northern Syrian city of Manbij after clashes with the forces of the Manbij Military Council.

According to "963+", Turkish forces have heavily bombarded the Tishreen dam in the countryside of Aleppo. This led to a shutdown of power generation. This caused power outages in Manbij, Kobani, Sirin and Al-Jarnih. The Turkish-backed Syrian National Army also attacked the Tishrin Dam on the Euphrates River and the Karkozak Bridge. During this time, he clashed with the Syrian Democratic Forces. A part of the dam collapsed due to the bombardment. Many cities and villages were drowned.
