UP: 11 killed,10 injured in bus-dumper collision in Shahjahanpur accident
The ill-feted bus was going from Sitapur to Uttarakhand Purnagiri, which was hit by a dumper. After the collision, the dumper overturned on the bus. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The bus was going to Uttarakhand Purnagiri with devotees from Sitapur. The bus was standing near a dhaba located on Gola Bypass Road in Khutar police station area of Shahjahanpur. Meanwhile, a dumper filled with ballast hit the bus.
SP, Ashok Kumar Meena said that the mishap occured at around 11.30 pm on Gola Bypass road of Khutar police station area and the mishap occurred when the bus was standing near a restaurant.
SP said that after getting down from the bus, some people were eating food at the dhaba and some people were sitting inside the bus itself. Meanwhile, an uncontrolled dumper filled with ballast overturned on the bus. All the people traveling in the bus were residents of Sidhauli located in Sitapur, Bada Jetha of Kamlapur police station area.
