Wife shot dead by husband who later dies of heart attack in Maharasthra
THANE:In a sensational case of murder in Thane city of Maharashtra, a 56 year old man shot his wife dead and later,he died due to heart attack. Police said on Saturday the incident occured at around 10.15 pm on Friday night in Yashwant Niwas building located in Khumbhar Ali, Kalwa. The deceased have been identified as Dilip Salvi and Pramila (51).
A police officer said an altercation broke out between the couple as soon as Salvi returned home on Friday night. In anger he took out his gun and shot his wife twice. She died on the spot. After some time, Salvi fell unconscious on the ground and died due to a heart attack. Sources close to Salvi told that during this time the wife shouted and called her son but she died before the son arrived. The officer said that the reason behind the murder has not been revealed yet.
According to the police, Salvi comes from a reputed family of Kalwa which has good influence in local politics and social activities. Many government and other projects are named after his late father Yashwant Ram Salvi. Dilip Salvi was the brother of former Deputy Mayor Ganesh Salvi. He was the uncle of former NCP corporator Milind Salvi and uncle of former corporator Aparna Salvi.
DCP (Zone-1) Ganesh Gawde is leading the investigation in this case. Police said that the couple's body has been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem and a case has been registered.
